Heavenly Snow

I love this picture of Josh

Josh, Sam, Thomas and I drove up to Sunrise to go snowboarding last weekend. Josh and Tom already knew how to snowboard so Sam and I were the newbies. Both of us were very excited. Josh left a day before all of us and met a bunch of people from the fire department up there. Sam, Tom and I drove up early Sunday morning and met them at the cabin. I was nervous to stay with all of Josh's co-workers. I am shy and I always feel out of place no matter where I am or who I am with so it took a lot of effort on Josh's part to get me to go up there. After renting boards for Sam and me we were finally on our way. Now, everyone told me I would fall. However, when I think of falling on snow I think of falling on nice soft, powdery fluff. That was not the case. It was like falling on cement. Josh took me straight to the top of the mountain and by passed the Bunny Hill so I was a little freaked out at all the scary turns and how fast you can get going. It was a slow process and I admit there were a few tears, but by the end I was getting it down. I brought the camera with me and was so excited to take some pictures but I was too busy falling to get it out of my pocket. I wish we would have had one more day because I honestly think I would have figured it out.. By the time we were done my arms, shoulders, chest, knees, head and calves were throbbing. I could barely sleep that night I hurt so bad. It was an exciting adventure and I am looking forward to doing it again soon. Hopefully I will feel a little more comfortable with the sport and the people. Be brave Ryann, be brave!
