Happy Birthday Lillian!!

March was a pretty tame month for us.  We mostly recuperated from the horse shows and prepared for Lillian's first birthday.
Most of the photos I take look like this:

or like this:
because Lillian is either moving or pointing ALL THE TIME.
This month she got four teeth, two on top and two on bottom.
She also learned to say "Hi" when she waves.  For the first two weeks she would only say "Hi" to animals.  That either means we spend far too much time with our four-legged friends and not enough time with people, or she is like her Mama and loves animals the most!

Lillian is turning more and more into a little ham. This is her "I'm being funny" face.
This month we pretty much did the usual, boring, day to day stuff. We washed the truck, which was no small feat!

And we caught up on some laundry.

Spring is here, which means it is already hot, and we have spent several afternoons playing in the sprinklers with Pipkin.

Lillian goes looking for Pipkin whenever she is in the back yard and likes to spend time with him. He is a wonderful rabbit and lets her love on him.
We (Lillian) made messes....
played at the park...

and took some much needed baths.
Then, the big day came, March 26th, Lillian's first birthday!  We are having a party for her in April, but to celebrate the day, we went to the Cheesecake Factory with the grandparents.
After, because it is our tradition, we went to Dairy Queen.  I do not let Lillian eat sweets but in honor of her big day she was allowed to take a few licks of an ice cream cone and boy did she love it!

Not only did she get to go out to dinner and eat ice cream, she got to pick out her very own birthday gift.  It didn't take her long.

Now, the big bubble gum ball goes with her every where.

Lillian loved Easter, not because of the candy, but because of all Easter egg collecting she did.  While we picked up eggs at an event in our neighborhood, people ooohhhed and ahhhhed over how cute she is, took photos of her, and asked if she could be in the newsletter.  She gets so much attention when we go out, I can't believe it!

It was difficult for me to see my baby turn one.  I can't believe the year has gone by so fast!  Lillian is so precious to me and has brought so much joy into my life.  It is difficult to remember what life was like without her.  Here's to another year of adventures with my girl! Hooray!
