I have to tell you, life just keeps getting more and more fun with Lillian. She is such a ham and is always full of smiles. As my sister can tell you, I LOVE to tease and torture and Lillian is a sport about it.
This is her new favorite face to make and I about die laughing every time I see her. She reminds me of an old lady I saw at the dump one afternoon when I was a kid. The picture of the woman is burned in my brain because she had no teeth. From that day on, I never skipped brushing my teeth!
Lillian has ventured into the land of skinny jeans and I do not think she will be returning. Whenever people see her toddling along in her jeans, they laugh. If only us adults could look this good with a muffin top!
She is getting so big and the little baby we call Troll is no longer looking like a troll. She may need to be upgraded to an Elf.
Several of my cousins and I ran in the Color Run in Tempe, AZ this month and had a blast. It rained almost the entire time but that did not dampen our mood. Our team name was the She-ra Warriors after our favorite action figures growing up. Do you see a resemblance???
This is us after we ran:
My sister was our photographer and she got some great photos of the event. At one point I lost track of her and turned around to see her up on stage with the DJ taking photos of everyone in the Color Pit just like a pro.
While my mom and sister were visiting, we had fun taking lots of photos. We are so blessed to have Sam to take such beautiful photos for us. Almost all of the pictures in this post were taken by her. She even managed to get a decent photo of me!
Lillian and Leighton enjoyed each other's company a few times this past month. They are so cute together and I hope they grow up to be good friends.
The most exciting thing to happen in Lillian's life this month happened on her ten month birthday. My mom, sister, and I were talking in the kitchen and Lillian let go of the couch and started walking! She walked three or four steps before falling down and we all cheered. When Josh got home from the store, we tried to get her to walk again so her could see. She was very wobbly and the video isn't very good because I was trying to record and coax her, but this is what happened. Sam took some photos of the event that I will post once she gets them to me.
The days of babyhood are slowly fading away and a little girl is emerging. It makes me sad to see my baby disappearing. I am not entirely ready to see her go. However, I am very excited for all the fun adventures my little girl and I have ahead of us.
