Merry Christmas

I swear the months just keep flying by faster and faster! December was no exception.  With all the holiday hustle and bustle, it seemed it was over as soon as it began.
Lillian started the month off learning how to crawl and by the end she was pulling herself up using anything available.

I received a big surprise this month when the family I sold my horse Welcome to, called and asked if he could come stay with me while he recuperated from an injury. I of course said yes, and was happy to have him join Beauty and Jack at my dad's house.

We drove to Utah Christmas Eve to spend the holiday with my family in Logan.  We hit a bad snow storm as soon as we entered Utah and our 14 hour drive quickly became a 16 hour drive.  We made it safe and sound and were happy to make it in time to celebrate Christmas Eve at my Aunt Becky and Uncle Jeff's house.

Christmas morning was crystal clear and white as could be.  It looked like a Currier and Ives painting outside.  Lillian enjoyed eating wrapping paper and exploring every one's gifts. Her favorite gift was a little wind-up owl she found in her stocking.

The day after Christmas, Lillian turned 9 months and had her very own photo shoot with her Auntie Sam.  At her  doctor visit she weighed 19.2 pounds and was 27 inches tall.  She claps any time someone says, "Yea" and whenever she needs to get some attention. She also loves to point, eat Cheerios, and read Pat the Bunny.

For our 6th anniversary, Josh and I went snowboarding on Beaver Mountain.  I had not been in over a year but did pretty well and enjoyed my time with Josh and my sister.
We also had a blast sledding and playing in the snow. Lillian wasn't sure what to think at first and did not really enjoy having to wear so many clothes she could hardly move, but in the end I think she enjoyed herself.

It was difficult for us to leave all the family, fun, and snow, but we are looking forward to having even more fun in 2013.
Happy New Year!
