October is always a busy month in our household and this year was no exception!
After watching Lillian enjoy an activity center at the gym, I decided to borrow one from a family at church. She loves playing in it and being able to stand up and stretch her little fat legs.
She also encountered her first balloon at her friend Kai's birthday party. She had a blast trying to fit it into her mouth.
Taking things in and out of boxes and baskets occupied much of Lillian's time this month. She loves tags, strings, ribbons, and anything else long and skinny she can find.
Lillian is much more balanced in her basket saddle now that she can sit up on her own. She has also learned to pet Beauty nicely.
Bath time moved from the kitchen sink to the big bathtub. She is so slippery I am not comfortable holding her in the tub, but Josh is great at hanging on to her and lets her splash and play. Her favorite bath toy is this little blue Hammer Head shark.
Lillian still can not crawl but she is great at slithering around on the tile. The only problem is, she can only go backwards! I never know where I am going to find her.
Josh spent most of September and early October working on a booth for the annual Firefighter's Chili Cook Off. This year Station 14's theme was Gilligan's Island. They won not only best booth but best chili as well!
While Josh worked on his booth, Lillian and I got Gigi ready for her Hanoverian inspection. While I body clipped Gigi, Lillian played with old horse show ribbons, bits, and polo wraps. She was very patient.
Lillian and I took Gigi to Scottsdale for the inspection. It was a long day! Thank goodness Grandpa came up to babysit.
Gigi scored well and was placed in the Main Studbook.
We ended the month with a fun Halloween. I was the Wicked Witch of the West and Lillian and Gigi were my Flying Monkeys.
Josh wouldn't join in the Wizard of Oz fun, so we went to a Halloween party are soldiers.
At 7 months, Lillian is a bundle of personality and we enjoy our time together.
This little girl is full of surprises!
