September was a quiet month for Josh and me but a busy one for Lillian.
She graduated from cereal to vegetables and, as you can see, she does not enjoy carrots!
She also rode her pony, Beauty, for the first time. What a lucky kid! A friend and fellow horsewoman told me about basket saddles while I was in Del Mar, CA at the horse show. As soon as I got home I began searching for one. They are very difficult to find and the ones I found here in the United States were very expensive. I finally ordered one from Sussex, England. It is the neatest thing. It has a little seat belt and Lillian can just lounge and enjoy her walk. I love it! Unfortunately, I accidentally erased the photo of her laughing as I walked her around the drive way. We had a good time.
She looks more and more like a little girl each day. I am afraid she has totally lost her newborn look.
She LOVES grass and I often sit with her in the backyard so she can feel the grass with her tiny hands. Her hair has slowly changed from black to blond and she has the most beautiful red eyelashes.
She is smiling and laughing more than ever now and can be quiet the ham!
She likes to sit in the sink while I get ready to go in the morning and stare at herself in the mirror. She talks and smiles to "The Baby in the Mirror."
Probably her biggest accomplishment this month, scooting. She is now mobile! She slides her little fat body across the tile or, if she is on carpet, she will roll herself where she wants to go.
September marked her first illness. The poor baby got an ear infection and was not a happy camper.
I just love her little face in this picture. She likes to be in the middle of everything. When she gets older, I think she will be a good little helper.
September also marked Lillian's half birthday. I can not believe she is already six months old. Where does the time go? I try to enjoy every moment because I know soon she will be in high school and I will miss her little chubby hands reaching out to touch my face.
