On September 21st Josh drove to Mesa, AZ to pick up my dream car, a 1966 Ford Mustang. 1966 marked the year of the millionth Mustang. Ford produced 499,751 Mustang Coupes which sold for approximately $2,416.00. My Mustang sold for $800.00 and had been sitting in a man's backyard since 1984, the year Josh and I were born.
The man we purchased her from bought her from a friend with the intention of using her as a donor car for another Mustang Coupe he was restoring and turning into a fastback.
Josh laughed when he found out about her donor car status because he knew I would love the car even more knowing we rescued it from it's fate. Anyone who knows me knows I love to rescue things from the verge of death, especially little animals and now cars.
I was so excited when I pulled into the drive way and opened the garage. There she sat, my very own Mustang.
You can see a bit of the original interior here. Josh and I are in the process of ripping everything out so the car can be sandblasted.
In 1966 this is what her aqua interior looked like, pretty huh? Truthfully, I can't decide if I like it or not.

Darrell's brother had a '66! I like the blue inside, I think you should keep it-esp with the white outside it will look sharp.
I for sure like the original exterior color. I'm not completely sold yet on the teal interior though. And how bout that commercial! Man they really did sell you back then... "gt equipment..." haha!
i absolutely love your wedding dress! so fun!
