Welcome

Last Friday my dad and I drove to Los Angeles to pick up my new horse Welcome. It was an interesting experience that's for sure. We stayed in a scary part of town, our horse trailer almost didn't fit through the entrance of our hotel, we made awesome waffles in the hotel lobby, and watched some good movies in the truck as we drove.

My dad insisted on being the first people in line at Jet Pets so we got there at 11 AM and didn't get Welcome until almost 2 PM. I was pretty anxious. Welcome flew into the U.S. on Wednesday but all animals have to be held in quarantine for 48 hours. Horses are transported in these large blue boxes in a cargo plane. I am sure it is a scary experience.

I got in trouble for snooping around while I was waiting and wasn't able to get as many pictures as I would have liked. This is Welcome's 1st picture

We got home Saturday morning sometime between 1 and 2 AM. It was an exhausting and very hot ride home.

My 2 bay boys, Hunter and Welcome.

Our 1st week together I have spent time getting to know Welcome. We are slowly building a relationship and I am excited to see how our partnership grows over the next few years. Wish us luck!
