My dad and I have been going to San Diego for as long as I can remember. We eagerly look forward to our endless days on Pacific Beach all year and are never disappointed once we are there. The sounds, the smells, the people are always the same and it is comforting to have this home away from home.
The best part about our trips to San Diego is being able to spend time with my dad.
Pacific Beach is famous for its Pelicans. I love watching them dive into the ocean after fish, it is amazing.

This year we decided to venture away from the beach and visit Balboa Park. It was a great addition to our usual routine. It was a beautiful place and I had a fantastic day.

There was a squirrel in this tree who was not very happy with us. He made it very clear to us with all his tail wagging and chattering that we were not welcome. At one point I thought he might attack Josh! I tried to get a picture of him but he was too fast and I missed him every time.

The art museum was probably my favorite part of the park. Not only was it a beautiful building but it had a painting by one of my favorite artists.

The architecture at the park is amazing. This is the entrance.

The ponds in the park had the biggest Koi fish I have ever seen.
Josh and I spent part of another magical day at the San Diego temple. We love going to different temples and seeing each ones unique beauty and grace. This particular temple is definitely aw-inspiring inside and out.
The last fantastic part of our trip this year was...drum roll please...my new bike!! My dad has been trying to get me to give him my Hollywood for several years. I look at bikes every year but until this year, I could never find one that I liked more than The Hollywood. My new Mackenzie is at least as nice as The Hollywood if not better. I love riding around in style!

Looks like a fun trip Ry Ry. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new bike. I wanted to buy a beach cruiser for out in Florida this summer but our apartments are surrounded by freeways so there wasn't really anywhere for me to ride. I love beach cruisers--you are definitely riding in style--especially because your bike matches your bathing suit. Fabulous!
