Why I Love Fall and Winter!

I LOVE the fall and the winter! It takes everything I have to not bust out my decorations, clothes, and recipes, as soon as the temperature drops below 100. Several years ago, my grandmother made sugared cranberries and she quickly realized she had better triple or even quadruple her recipe if I was going to be around! I made some on Thanksgiving so we could take them to Josh's mom's house but they didn't make it.
I prefer classic Christmas music to choirs singing or pop artists remaking the same Christmas songs over and over.
Give me Frank, Dean, and Sammy and I am ready to go.

Boots, boots, boots. I love them all (except Uggs)!

One of my favorite things in the entire world is getting letters and cards in the mail. Christmas is like heaven because I get a card at least every other day.

NO meal is complete without green bean casserole, with extra crunchy things of course!

Red Hot Jello with apples and walnuts makes me smile.

I. LOVE. COATS. No outfit is complete without a matching coat. You can't just wear a hoodie, or a sweatshirt over your stylish outfit. You must wear a coat.

Martha Stewart has the best crafts during this season. My mom and I like to use Martha's ideas for gifts.

This glorious orange spice drink chases away even the chilliest of chills.

Making pizelles with all the Garbini women makes me proud to be an Italian American. It is loud, there is lots of laughter and smoke from burnt cookies, and then later there are shoe boxes full of these lovely delights in every one's pantry. You don't just eat them. You savor them, nibble them, and make rings and bracelets out of them, or try to at least.

Then of course you have the entertaining turkey cookie. Each one is unique and tasty.

There are more things about this season that I love but I think I covered most of them!
