May 19th was my last day as an English teacher at Flowing Wells Junior High School. My classroom was empty but my heart was full. It was full of hope that quitting was the right decision, hope that my students would remember me, my example, and at least a few of the things I taught them and hope that my dreams would come true and that I was setting off on the correct path. Mixed in with the hope there was a bit of sadness too. I have enjoyed getting to know my 8th graders and it saddens me to know I will not be getting a new group of kids to love, tease, laugh at, laugh with, and teach. I am very nervous about the future but I know if I trust in my Heavenly Father and follow my heart things will turn out for the best.Wednesday, June 8, 2011

I found your blog when looking for a vintage image of a teacher. Turns out you taught in my hometown, Tucson. I teach in Minnesota currently. Are those the Catalina or Rincon mountains I see in the photos of the horses? Anyway, before I start sounding like a stalker, thanks for the opportunity to cross paths! Debra
