May, the Month I Totally Forgot.

May was a fun month.  How could I have forgotten to blog all that fun? Maybe because this summer has been extremely busy!  Let's see if I can catch up on all of our adventures!
As usual, we are in the middle of about 20 different projects. One of these projects involved a brand new gallon of white Behr paint.  I was rushing frantically to finish this painting project before the girls woke up from their nap.  I put the finishing touches on the project just as I heard Lillian's bedroom door open.  I ran out to the garage to throw some painting supplies in the garbage, leaving the open gallon of paint sitting on top of the toy box next to the couch.  When I opened the door into the kitchen Lillian met me, her hands covering her face.  "What's the matter?" I asked. "I made a big mess Mom!" I turned the corner into the living room and I about had a heart attack.  White paint was all over the toy box, couch, and floor.  I spun on my heel, went back out to the garage, and told Josh I needed his help.  He came into the house, saw the mess, and immediately went back outside.  I don't think I have ever seen him so mad!  We cleaned for about 5 hours.  It was awful. Lillian stood and watched the entire time murmuring, "This is all my fault! This is all my fault!"  Josh was not happy about me taking photos.
Once the paint was cleaned and the couch was dry, we had a great month.  We attended the grand opening of the Children's Museum in Oro Valley,

Attended a Cinco de Mayo party that included dancing and a pinata,

and had lots of pony time.  Beauty is such a good girl.  Lillian loves to play in her stall with her.  She reads Beauty stories, pretends she is a vet treating Beauty for ailments, and has fun showing her dance moves.

Freya became an excellent walker while holding on to something and I suspect she could walk unaided if she would only try.
Our favorite activity this month involved painting on the sidewalk.

We also had fun pretending we were in the Broadway show, Fiddler on the Roof.  Lillian did not appreciate Freya laughing at her headscarf.
We met Princess Elsa
and had a "fun" day filled with shopping in which Lillian discovered Sephora.  She ran through Sephora like a maniac putting on as many different colored lipsticks as she could before I could grab her.  Even the store clerks were laughing.
I am not exactly sure what is going on in this photo but it makes me laugh hysterically.  These two little princesses missed their naps and went in to what I call, "Crazy Lady Mode."
As the weather heated up we decided to take a trip to the yogurt shop down the street and cool off.

We escaped the heat all together for a few days when we went to visit Nonna and P-pa in Utah.  We had a great time digging for worms and playing with grocery sacks.  Who knew they could be so entertaining?

Upon arriving in Utah, Lillian was distraught because she had forgotten to pack a princess dress.  I created this masterpiece for her out of the grocery sacks we had so much fun playing with.
It rained pretty much every day we were visiting my parents and the girls started to get a bit antsy being trapped inside.  We found a fun indoor activity place (Lillian calls it the Wiggle Place) where they could burn off some energy with there cousin, Elle.
Freya enjoyed taking all the animals in and out of their cages in the vet clinic
and Lillian had a great time being the cashier in the grocery store.
We celebrated Josh's birthday there as well.  Lillian helped bake a cake for him.  She was supposed to help me frost it but the frosting was too tempting for her. She ate more than she spread.

Wonder of wonder, miracles of miracles, I was able to get my sister to take time out of her busy schedule and take a few photos of the girls while we were visiting. I feel like a monkey trainer trying to get both of them to cooperate so Sam did her best.
This is Freya's signature move.  When she wants something or is trying to show you something she reaches out her little had and says, "Mmmm!"

This is Lillian's new move.  She says to me,"Look Mom!" and then proceeds to make the ugliest face she can.
Apparently sitting with your little sister is extremely frightening.

Sitting with her may be scary but dancing is always fun!
June is up next with even more fun and adventure!
