A few months ago I purchased a 3 year old Hanoverian filly named Gigi with the goal of training her on my own. This is an ambitious project for me, seeing as I have never trained a horse before. However, I felt I had the resources and experience I needed to at least give it a try. Gigi came to me halter broken and as sweet as can be. Since then I have taught her voice commands, how to lunge, and am now in the process of teaching her to jump and walk, trot, and canter under saddle.
Saturday was my first ride on her with out my dad leading us around and she was AMAZING. There were a few moments of confusion as she tried to figure out what I was asking her but then she quickly moved forward and trotted around like a pro, except for the fact that she was swerving all over the place. Swerving aside, I am as happy as can be. I can not wait to ride her again. It amazes me how fast she learns. I watch her sometimes and think, "WOW! I taught her all that!" I am like a proud mother hen watching her chicks trot off to school. I can't wait to see how Gigi grows and matures. I know she is a special girl.

HI Ryann,
First of all, I want to thank you for letting me into your stable world for a little while this week! It was SO great to meet your four babies, and your place is just awesome! I would love to have a place like that someday.
Your ride on Gigi was fabulous, and she looks like she has done that for months, not two days! I wish I had that much forward motion on Kisses! You are fun to watch hack around, and I can't wait to see you at the fairgrounds in February.
I am proud to say that I know you, and I would love to come out and be your groom anytime you'd let me. Those horses are too big for me to ride- you are my hero! Susan
p.s.- Your daddy couldn't be any more darling if he tried!
